successful completion of inter-
operability testing between the
Ubiquisys ZoneGate 3G femto-
cell and Kineto's UMA Network
Controller (UNC).
Orange
launches Unifon, its UMA-based service, in Po-
land. Wi-fi calls are made via wireless broadband access
over Polish telco's Neostrada TP network. Customers can
sign up for the Unifon Max plan, which includes 1200 free
minutes per month.

Cincinnati Bell
launches CB Home Run, the first UMA
service deployed in the US. For $10 per month, Cincinnati
Bell Wireless customers get unlimited calling from Wi-Fi.
BenQ
unveiled its E72 UMA-enabled
smartphone. This Windows Mobile 6.0
standard quad-band GSM handset is
powered by a TI OMAP 1030 260 MHz
processor.
Kineto
announces a new release of its industry-leading
UMA Network Controller (UNC). Key features include 10X
increase in mobile data capacity and 3G handset support.
T-Mobile US
launches its UMA service, HotSpot @Home,
across the country. For $10 per month, customers get un-
limited calling over any Wi-Fi network, including all 8,500
T-Mobile HotSpots around the US.
NETGEAR®, Inc.
and Ubiquisys announce their collabo-
ration to deliver a comprehensive residential gateway with
integrated DSL modem, Wi-Fi, VoIP and 3G femtocell
technology. This gateway device will offer mobile opera-
tors worldwide a single-box converged solution at a com-
petitive price.

The Femto Forum
launches as an independent, not-for-
profit membership organization to support and promote
femtocell deployment worldwide. The group will promote
uptake of femtocell technologies through open standards,
market education and ecosystem development.
Samsung Electronics
T409 is an-
nounced as a handset exclusive to
the T-Mobile launch, powered by
NXP's UMA-enabled NexperiaTM
5210 cellular solution.
Research in Motion (RIM)
announc-
es on its web site that its new Black-
berry 8820 supports UMA and will be
available summer 2007. In a follow-up
announcement, Orange says the 8820
will be available to its subscribers in
the UK.
Ubiquisys
announces it secured B-
round funding totaling $25m from
major investors, including search
engine Google.
Samsung
launches the P260, its new-
est UMA-enabled device. It weighs 119
grams, is 101×50×17 mm and features
a 2 megapixel camera and 262k color
320×240 resolution display.
